Long time no chat dear friend... where do we start?

Hey there. I've been off my blogging routine for quite awhile. Mommie and Daddy moved us into a new home and then things just began happening so fast that computer time wasn't really something we did very much. But, I'm back online now and I hope to keep you updated more often. To catch you up, I am 1 years old now. We had a fun birthday time with lots of pink and white stuff. It tasted kind of funny but afterwards, I was so excited. I couldn't sleep for another 4 hours. WOW!

You missed a few other things. Here are the highlights: July 2011 we moved FROM Pensacola, FL to Corpus Christi, Tx for my daddy to continue his work. While in Corpus we visited my great-grandma and grandpa a lot! I really like them a lot. Grandma teaches me all sorts of new words. She taught me the "patty cake" song and how to shake my head no. Mommy doesn't seem to enjoy the latter as much.

Christmas was also lots of fun. We had this huge green thing in the house with lots of sparkle things on it. I couldn't touch it but boy was I mesmerized looking at it. Mommie and Daddy told me about Jesus Christ and about how special of a baby he was. He is so special that we still celebrate his birth. Mommie told me that he is still with us and will never grow old. I don't completely understand but I'm pretty excited to have Christmas again.

Mommie and Daddy also took me to a show with lots of planes. It was very cool but loud and a little scary. She told me this was daddy's work.

And this blog update wouldn't be complete if I didn't mention one of my favorite things to do: TAKE A BATH!!! Mommie started letting me take baths in the big tub with toys and bubbles. It's SO MUCH FUN!!!

We have left Corpus Christi and moved to Kingsville so Daddy can learn to fly something called a jet. In fact, on my first birthday he found out that he would get to fly a jet. He was very excited! We are living in a small home Mommie calls a "hotel suite." I hear lots of loud noises all the time. Daddy's friends are flying over our bedroom. Mommy gets so excited when she hears the noise. I get scared.

More updates to come soon. :0)

The Man and The 13 Fingers

What a grand surprise I had waiting for me a couple weeks ago. Sorry that I'm just now telling you about it. After this lovely surprise, we left home for a LONGGGGGGG time and saw a bunch of folks I've never seen before. We are finally home.

So here's the story! Mommie and Daddy woke up early one morning a few weeks back and put me in my seat. It was so strange because it was all dark and wet outside. It was like taking a bath at night. I don't know why there was water everywhere. Mommy and Daddy took a bath in all the water, but they didn't let me. It was lots of water falling all around. I don't know who makes the water, but sometimes the water maker would get mad and make a grumbling noise. Anyway...we finally made it to where we were going. It's the place with bright lights that I remember from 2 months ago. We go there every now and then and everytime something NOT FUN happens. I tried to keep a positive attitude. Mommie had a strange look on her face. She usually smiles and talks to me. Instead, she looked very concerned. Daddy was trying to talk to me, but I was so consumed with WHY Mommie was so quiet.

We arrived, Daddy undressed me and, things began to go pretty quickly. I laid naked for several minutes. Then, Mommie wrapped me in a blanket and took me into a small room with a man with 13 fingers. The weird thing about his fingers is that 10 were on his hand like mine, mommie's and daddys, but the other 3 fingers were laying on the table. Those fingers were also really pointy. Then IT HAPPENED!!!!

The man took his fingers 11, 12, and 13 and touched my legs. I SCREAMED so loud NO SOUND came out! It hurt so bad. Mommie's face went from concerned to tears. I think she knew what was going to happen. As Mommie sat in the corner trying not to look, Daddy tried talking to me. I was NOT hearing it. Then, all of a sudden, I was eating. I don't even remember Mommie picking me up. But, she did apparently because I was in her arms eating and I felt much much better. :)

Phew...I hope I NEVER meet that man and his 13 fingers again.

The Flying Poo

It's been a fun few days as always. Mommie and Daddy make things so fun. We do lots of singing and looking at colorful pictures and videos. My life is pretty routine at this point. One of my regular...routines is getting my back end cleaned. Mommie does this a lot! It seems like every time I open my eyes she's pulling my diaper off and wiping me down. It's so cold too! Anyway, well the other day she was about to unsnap my diaper and I tried to tell her it wasn't a good time. I grunted the best I could and I even held my breath so that my face turned red. (See I haven't yet figured out how to use words like she does.) But, nothing I did could stop mom from pulling off my diaper. Well, when she opened it up she realized she should have waited. The second that diaper unsnapped, my poo shot out at Mommie. It flew so hard and fast straight from my bum to her stomach. Yikes! She screamed so loud it made me jump. I wanted to say I tried to warn her but...sigh... I just don't have the talking thing down yet. Besides, she didn't seem to mind. She wiped me down smiled and then called Daddy to come and see my mess. They laughed so hard it made me smile!

Sleep Is For The Birds...

I had tons of fun yesterday. I spent most of the day smiling actually. I noticed that my Mommie seemed to frown a lot today. She kept saying something about me being really tired but refusing to sleep. I don't know what that means. I do know that I spent lots of time with Mommie and Daddy yesterday! I hung out with them as long as I could until my eyes wouldn't stay open any longer. Around lunch time, I was hanging out on my tummy working on getting my head to stay up. (Boy, that's tough stuff!) Then Mommy showed me a picture of something green. She called it a "bumbo." It was really a funny looking thing. Anywho, all of a sudden, I was laying on Daddy staring up at him. Mommy asked Daddy if I could have a "bumbo" and Daddy smiled at me and said, "of course!" I don't know what it is, but Mommy is really excited about it! I'll let you know when I get it.

I spent some time watching my video today too. It used to be really be boring. I mean I could only stare at those huge words on the screen for 10 minutes before passing out. Now, I can watch most all of it. It's really entertaining. There are bright colors, big words, pictures of animals, people clapping and moving. There is even singing!!

I also really enjoy this book we have been reading since...well...since my first day. Come to think of it, Mommy and Daddy have been showing me the same doggone book for weeks. Hmph! I'm going to have to see if there are some other options in my library. Anyway, I like this book a lot. It has bright colors as well. Mommy reads it to me in English then again in some other weird language she calls spanish. I don't know... all I know is that she points to the picture of the coat and says "coat" then points again and says "abrigo." I'm thinking, "Mom I thought you just said it was a 'coat'! Is it an 'abrigo' or a 'coat,' make up your mind?!"

Fun times. I don't think I spend nearly enough time awake though. I sleep so much. Here's my schedule:

Wake up 7 am EAT
Nap 8 - 10:00a
Wake up 10:00a EAT
Nap 10:40a - 12:30p
Wake up 12:30p EAT
Nap 1:10 - 3:00p
Wake up 3:00p EAT
Nap 4:00 - 6:00p
Wake up 6:00p EAT
Nap 7:00-8:30p
Wake up 8:30p EAT
Nap 9:30 - 11:00p
Go to bed 11:00p

Mommy always says that she wishes she could sleep as much as I do. But, you know what, I want to be awake as much as she is!!!

It's A Small World After All...

I'm not sure what that song means, but from what I've noticed it's a HUGE world. I cannot do much right now but I'm absorbing so much from everything. As I learn so much about the world around me, I invite you to visit me here on my blog. I'll update it as often as possible with all the new things I'm experiencing. Please enjoy! Here's a picture of my very first day in this new world, January 26, 2011.
